Entente Orleanaise inks guard Reynolds
J.R. Reynolds – Asvel BasketEntente Orleanaise added some scoring punch to its backcourt by signing point guard J.R. Reynolds, who returns to France and the Eurocup after helping Asvel Basket win the 2009 French championship. Reynolds (188, 26) arrives from Italian club Cimberio Varese, where he averaged 5.3 points and 1.8 assists per game last season. Two years ago with Asvel, Reynolds tallied 12.2 points and 3.8 assists per game in six Eurocup appearances and 11.8 points and 4.1 assists in the French League. Reynolds enjoyed a standout college basketball career at the University of Virginia, where he was named to the All-ACC Conference second team after averaging 18.4 points and 3.7 assists in his senior year. He moved overseas to Vanoli Soresina of the Italian second division in 2007 and has played in either France or Italy since.
