ALBA Berlin found a new floor leader in Peyton Siva, who led the Italian League in both assists and steals last season with 6.5 and 2.0 per game, respectively, for Pasta Reggia Caserta. Siva (1.83 meters, 25 years old) also averaged 13.3 points in what was his first season in Europe. He was a college basketball star at the University of Louisville, which he led to back-to-back NCAA Finals Fours in 2012 and 2013. Siva helped the Cardinals win the national championship in the second of those seasons, during which he also received the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award as the top college player listed as 6 feet tall (1.83 meters) or shorter. He played one season in the NBA with Detroit in 2013-14 and has also played in the D-League for Fort Wayne and Erie.
