FC Bayern Munich announced that guard and team captain Bryce Taylor will remain with the club after it activated the option on his contract for the 2016-17 season. Taylor (1.93 meters, 29 years old) averaged 6.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in nine Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. When Bayern joined the Eurocup, Taylor posted 7.6 points and 3.5 rebounds over eight games in helping it reach the quarterfinals. In the German League, Taylor’s numbers rose to 13.6 points on 48.2% three-point shooting plus 3.3 rebounds over 35 games. He was named to the All-German League First Team at the end of the season. Taylor is set to enter his fourth season with Bayern, which he helped win the German League title in 2014. He started his professional career with Premiata Montegranaro of Italy and also played for Telekom Baskets Bonn, ALBA Berlin and Artland Dragons Quakenbrueck of Germany. Taylor was also a member of the USA national team at the 2007 Pan American Games.
