Henry DomercantSpartak St. Petersburg keeps putting together a strong roster to try to return to the Eurocup through the Qualifying Round by adding experienced shooter Henry Domercant, who inked a three-year deal on Thursday. Domercant (192, 29) arrives from Montepaschi Siena, where he played in each of the last two seasons. Despite playing just 17 minutes per night, averaged 10.5 points in 16 Euroleague games, ranking second (50.9%) in three-point shooting and leading the competition (93.8%) in free throw accuracy. Domercant helped Montepaschi to win back-to-back Italian League and Italian Cup titles in his two seasons in Siena. Domercant also boasts plenty of Euroleague experience from two seasons with Efes Pilsen and another with Olympiacos. Despite reaching the Euroleague Quarterfinal Playoffs with three different teams, Domercant has never made it to the Final Four. He also shined with Dynamo Moscow, with whom he reached the ULEB Cup semifinals and was named the competition's regular season MVP in 2007-08. He led the ULEB Cup that season with 20.6 points per game, shooting an incredible 57.1% from downtown. Among the other highlights in his career are winning the 2005 Turkish League and the 2006 Turkish Cup and reaching the 2007 Greek League finals. Domercant played for Karsiyaka in Turkey in the 2003-04 season after a college basketball career at Eastern Illinois University, where he set school records in scoring with 27.9 points per game as a senior.
