Hapoel completes roster with Williams
Sean WilliamsHapoel Migdal Jerusalem completed its roster for the upcoming season by inking big man Sean Williams to a one-year deal, the club announced Tuesday. Williams (208, 24) is set to make his European basketball debut with Hapoel, as he spent his career in the United States, China and Puerto Rico before agreeing to a deal with the Israeli powerhouse. Williams started the 2009-10 season with the New Jersey Nets but left the team in February to join Fujian SBS XunXin in China. He averaged 16.4 points, 11.1 rebounds and a competition-best 4.2 blocks in 16 Chinese League games last season. Williams finished the season playing for Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico. An accomplished rebounder and shot blocker, Williams averaged 12.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5 blocks in 15 NCAA games with Boston College before joining the Nets in summer 2007.

"Sean is a very good addition to our club," head Coach Oded Kattash said. "We will do everything to help him adjust quickly and feel that this is the place he will where he can bloom. He knows our player Dion Dowell very well, and it will surely help the adjustment period. We believe that now after we completed our roster, we can prepare for our important test against Belgacom Liege."
