BG Goettingen strengthens frontcourt with Scott
Mike Scott (bckormend.hu)BG Goettingen reinforced its frontcourt Friday by signing forward Mike Scott for the coming season. Goettingen also reached an agreement with Sean Barnette, who joined the club in July, on the player’s release. Scott (203, 24) arrives from Hungarian outfit BC Kormend, where he averaged 14.9 points and 8.5 rebounds in 34 games last season. That was his second season in Europe after spending the previous year with Turkish side Trabzonspor BC. Scott played college basketball at Kent State University, where he averaged 13.2 points and 6.3 rebounds in 35 games as a senior. He is expected to make his Goettingen debut in an exhibition game against German second division team BV Chemnitz 99 on Sunday.
