Benetton, Nicevic agree to extension
Sandro Nicevic - Benetton BasketBenetton Basket and center Sandro Nicevic agreed to terms on a contract extension that will keep him with the club through 2012. Nicevic (210, 34), who joined Benetton in 2008, was already signed for the current season. Last season he averaged 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds in 12 Eurocup games for the club and 9.4 points and 4.2 boards in the Italian League. Nicevic, who was named to the 2008-09 All-Eurocup Second Team, has experience playing for some of the top clubs on the continent. He has played in the Euroleague for Cibona in his native Croatia, Union Olimpija in Slovenia, AEK Athens in Greece, Unicaja in Spain and Le Mans in France. He has also in the Eurocup for Le Mans, for Besiktas in Turkey and Benetton.
