Regular Season Game 1 MVP: P.J. Tucker, Aris BSA 2003
Amid plenty of outstanding Eurocup debuts, P.J. Tucker of Aris BSA 2003 earned the Game 1 MVP honor with a performance index rating of 35, the best among 321 players who saw playing time on Tuesday. Tucker led Aris to an 88-75 home victory over Azovmash in Group D with 28 points while making 9 of 15 two-point shots as well as his only three-point attempt. The Eurocup weekly MVP honor goes to the best individual performance for a winning team that week. Tucker added 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 7 fouls drawn to amass his index rating of 35. Three other players - Matt Walsh of Asvel, A.J. Ogilvy of Besiktas Cola Turka and Marko Popovic of Unics – recorded index ratings of 34. Popovic is the only one of those three whose team won. He had 23 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists as Unics defeated EWE Baskets Oldenburg on the road in Group A. Walsh had 30 points, 8 rebounds and 12 fouls drawn in Asvel's home loss against BG Goettingen, while Ogilvy had 20 points, 12 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn despite Besiktas losing at home against Hemofarm. Lazaros Papadopoulos of PAOK had a 33 index rating to complete the top individual performances in regular season Game 1.

Walsh was Game 1's top scorer with 30 points in his team's home loss against Goettingen. Papadopoulos pulled down 17 rebounds but could not help PAOK overcome Asefa Estudiantes on the road. Popovic was the only player to record double digits in assists as he dished 10 against Oldenburg. Lukasz Koszarek of Pepsi Caserta and Josh Shipp of Galatasaray Cafe Crown each collected 5 steals in their teams' respective road wins against Krasnye Krylia and GasTerra Flames. Matt Haryasz of GasTerra Flames had 4 blocks, most of the week, in a home loss to Galatasaray. As many as 10 players - Popovic, Papadopoulos, Ogilvy, Marko Scekic of Buducnost m:tel, J.P. Batista of Le Mans, Milan Macvan of Hemofarm, Demetrius Alexander of Azovmash, Corsley Edwards of Cedevita, Uche Nsonwu of Chorale Roanne and Derrick Allen of Alba Berlin - registered double-doubles in Game 1.
