Week 2 MVP: Christos Tapoutos, Aris BSA 2003
Christos Tapoutos - Aris BSA 2003An outstanding performance in a winning effort was required for Christos Tapoutos of Aris BSA to become the Week 2 MVP in a close race for the honor. Tapoutos shined in his team's home win against Hapoel Gilboa/Galil with 25 points, making 9-of-12 two-point shots and 2-of-2 triples. He added 4 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal, a block and 3 fouls drawn to reach a performance index rating of 32. Although Vladimir Dragicevic tied for the same index rating, Tapoutos is the MVP because Aris won and Dragicevic's team, Buducnost m:tel, lost against Gran Canaria 2014. The weekly honor goes to the player with the best performance for a winning team. Dragicevic had 24 points on 8-of-11 two-pointers, 1-of-1 three-pointers and 6-of-6 free throws. He added 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and 6 fouls drawn to amass a 32 index index rating. Lazaros Papadopoulos of PAOK had 17 points, 17 rebounds and 10 fouls drawn, good for a 30 index in PAOK's home loss against Benetton Bwin. Willie Solomon of Hapoel Jerusalem, Kaspars Berzins of VEF Riga and Tariq Kirksay of Cajasol, each with a 29 index rating, completed the top individual performances in regular season Week 2. Tapoutos is the second Aris player to earn MVP honors in as many weeks, after PJ Tucker registered the best individual performance for a winning team in regular season Week 1.

Solomon and Ramel Curry of Azovmash were this week's Eurocup top scorers. Tucker is the Eurocup's best scorer so far at 26 points per game. Papadopoulos grabbed 17 boards for the second consecutive week and therefore remained the competition's best rebounder with that average. Bremer dished 11 asssists, more than anyone this week. Marko Popovic of Unics is the Eurocup's assist leader at 8.5 per night. Kyle Bailey of Goettingen and Jumaine Jones of Pepsi Caserta collected 6 steals each. Bailey leads the overall standings at 4 steals per game. Berzins had 4 blocks to lead the weekly standings. He ties for first place overall with Bryant Dunston of Aris. As many as 9 players - Tucker, Papapdopoulos, Berzins, Lamayne Wilson of Budivelnik, Vedran Vukusic of Cedevita, Chris Owens of Azovmash, Vytautas Sarakauskas of Siauliai, John Turek of GasTerra Flames and Paul Miller of Anwil Wloclawek - registered respective double-doubles.
