Gran Canaria lands center Hollins
One of the group leaders in the 7DAYS EuroCup, Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas, has added size and strength to its roster by inking center Ryan Hollins for the remainder of the season. Hollins (2.13 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Memphis of the NBA, where he averaged 3.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 31 games last season. He has played in the NBA for the most of his professional career, other than 5 games with Fort Worth of the NBADL. Hollins has played for Charlotte, Dallas, Minnesota, Cleveland, Boston, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento, Washington and Memphis, accumulating 1,913 points and 1,140 rebounds in 518 regular season career games. Before that, Hollins played for the University of California at Los Angeles, helping the Bruins reach the NCAA Tournament final in 2006. Hollins has also been a member of the USA national team, helping it get a bronze medal at the 2015 Panamerican Games.
