RETAbet Bilbao Basket added another player to its backcourt by inking playmaker Ricardo Fischer to a two-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Fischer (1.85 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, where he averaged 8.2 points and 4.7 assists in 21 Brazilian League games last season. He started his career in Switzerland, playing for Sion Herens Basket, Martigny Rhone Basket and MGS Grand-Saconnex Basket. Fischer has also played for Barueri, Soa Jose/Unimed/Vinac and Paschoalotto/Bauru of his native Brazil before joining Flamengo. He helped Bauru win the Paulista League title in 2013, as well as listing two other trophies - the Liga Sudamericana in 2014 and the Liga Americas in 2015. Fischer has also been a member of the Brazilian national team, helping it win a gold medal at the 2015 Panamerican Games.
