Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar added some firepower to its backcourt by signing shooting guard Chris Babb to a two-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Babb (1.96 meters, 27 years old) arrives from ratiopharm Ulm, where he averaged 11.7 points on 40.3% three-point shooting and 3.3 rebounds in 14 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He also ranked fifth in the German League in scoring with 15.4 points on 42.1% three-point shooting in helping Ulm to the best regular season record in the competition. His 100 triples in 33 regular season games set a German League record. Babb started his professional career with Boston in the NBA and also played for Maine of the D-League before joining Ulm in 2015. He led Ulm to the German League finals in 2016.
