Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas added fire power to its roster by inking shooting guard Marcus Eriksson, the club announced Tuesday. Eriksson (2.01 meters, 23 years old) arrives from FC Barcelona Lassa, where he averaged 2.1 points in 21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. He did much better in Spanish League action, averaging 6.8 points on 44.1% three-point shooting in 32 games. He started his career with KFUM Uppsala of his native Sweden and also played for Basquet Manresa and Barcelona's second team of Spain. Eriksson helped Barcelona reach the EuroLeague Final Four in 2013. He is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Gran Canaria next season.
