Darussafaka Istanbul added depth to its team by signing two players, shooting guard Muhammed Baygul and center Emircan Kosut, each to a one year deal with an option for another season, club announced on Wednesday. Baygul (1.91 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir where last season he posted 7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in the Turkish League action. Baygul has a pair of 7 DAYS EuroCup seasons under his belt, one with TED Ankara Kolejliler and another with Karsiyaka, and now returns to Darussafaka where he already previously played in 2011-12 campaign. During his career he also played for Isikspor and Hacettepe in his native Turkey. Kosut (2.16 meters, 22 years old) has played last season at a fellow Turkish side Yesilgiresun where he averaged 5.8 point and 3.6 rebounds. Kosut is a product of Anadolu Efes Istanbul program, where he grew up and where he played up until last season, and has appeared in limited minutes in 10 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games, too. Now, Kosut is set to make his EuroCup debut.
