Galatasaray inks one-time EuroCup Final MVP Hendrix
Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul signed veteran Richard Hendrix to give the club a proven force in the paint. Hendrix (2.06 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas, where he averaged 7.7 points and 3.6 rebounds over 15 7DAYS EuroCup games in helping the club reach the quarterfinals. This will be Hendrix's fourth EuroCup campaign; he helped Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar win the 2013 EuroCup after posting 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 9 rebounds in the championship game against Uxue Bilbao Basket to earn EuroCup Final MVP honors. Hendrix has also played five EuroLeague seasons with Maccabi Tel Aviv, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, Lokomotiv and Unicaja Malaga. He has also played for Granada in Spain. Hendrix helped Maccabi reach the 2011 EuroLeague Championship Game and win back-to-back Israeli League and Cup doubles in 2011 and 2012 and the Adriatic League crown in 2012.
