Zenit St. Petersburg brought a familiar face back to the team, none other than forward Nikita Barinov, who inked a one-year deal with the Russian powerhouse on Tuesday. Barinov (2.03 meters, 26 years old) already played for Zenit in the 2015-16 season, averaging 4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 23 VTB League games. He helped Zenit reach the Russian Cup final and finish third in the VTB League. He arrives from Parma Basket Parm, where he averaged five points in 10 VTB League games last season. Barinov has also played for CSKA Moscow's junior and U23 teams, Ryazan of Russia, as well as for Juventus Utenos, Naglis Palangos and Neptunas Klaipeda of Lithuania. He has also been a member of the Russian U16, U18 and U20 national teams.
