A very familiar face is back to Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, as the club announced the arrival of Mindaugas Lukauskis, who inked a one-year deal with the Lithuanian powerhouse on Wednesday. Lukauskis (1.98 meters, 38 years old) is set to start his third stint with the club and his ninth season with Rytas. He arrives from Lietkabelis Panevezys, where Lukauskis averaged 8.2 points and 2.4 assists in 13 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. Lukauskis was the first-ever player to win two EuroCup titles with the same team, helping Rytas lift the trophy in 2005 and 2009. He also won three Baltic League, two Lithuanian League and three Lithuanian Cup titles with Rytas in his previous eight season with the club. Lukauskis has also played for Kalnapils Panevezys, Sakalai Vilnius, Triobet Prienu and Alita Alytus of Lithuania, Asvel Villeurbanne of France, EWE Baskets Oldenburg of Germany, Valencia Basket and Bilbao Basket of Spain and Sigma Barcellona of Italy. Lukauskis also helped Asvel win the Semaine des As title in 2010, as well as being a member of the Lithuanian national team. In 97 EuroCup career games with Rytas, Oldenburg, Bilbao and Lietkabelis, Lukauskis has accumulated 663 points and 190 assists.
