Elan Chalon completes roster with Smith, Delaney

Bryant Smith - Benetton TrevisoElan Chalon rounded up his roster for the upcoming Eurocup Qualifying Round by extending swingman Bryant Smith and inking guard Malcolm Delaney. Smith (1.96 meters, 33 years old) averaged 4.7 points in 33 French League games last season. He helped Chalon to win the French Cup title and reach the Semaine des As final. He has also played for Keravnos Strovolou and Apollon in Cyprus, Cocodrilos de Caracas in Venezuela, Reggio Emilia, Scafati and Benetton Basket in Italy, Lukoil Academic in Bulgaria and Sioux Falls in the CBA. He helped Keravnos to win the Cypriot League title in 2008, lifted the Italian Cup trophy with Benetton in 2007 and won back-to-back Bulgarian League and Bulgarian Cup titles with Lukoil in 2003 and 2004. Delaney (1.90 meters, 22 years old) just finished his college career at Virginia Tech. He averaged 18.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.6 steals in 34 NCAA games last season. Delaney was chosen to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team in each of the last two seasons.
