Aris picks up rookie shot-blocker Muldrow

Sam Muldrow (Photo: Gamecock Athletics)Aris BSA 2003 signed big man Sam Muldrow, who was the club's second rookie addition in as many days. Aris agreed to terms with guard Dan Mavraides on Monday. Muldrow (2.05 meters, 23 years old) arrives from the University of South Carolina, which in recent years has produced Euroleague stars Chuck Eidson, Marius Petravicius and Tarence Kinsey. Last year, in his senior season for the Gamecocks, Muldrow averaged 11.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and a conference-best 3.4 blocks per game. He was named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Defensive Player of the Year and was selected a member of the SEC All-Defensive Team for the second year in a row. Muldrow finished his career as the school's record holder in career blocks (275) and most in a single game (10).
