Partizan reunites with veteran Cakarevic
Serbian powerhouse Partizan NIS Belgrade has agreed to terms with another of its former players, signing a one-year deal with veteran forward Marko Cakarevic, the club announced on Tuesday. Cakarevic, who previously already played for Partizan from 2011 to 2013, arrives from KK Dynamic Belgrade, where he played under current Partizan head coach Miroslav Nikolic. He joined Dynamic in the second part of last season and went on to average 14.6 points, 7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals. He was voted the Serbian League MVP, too. The first part of last season Cakarevic played in Timisoara in Romania, and since his first stint with Partizan, he also spent a year with Metalac Valjevo in Serbia and two seasons with Igokea Aleksandrovac in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During his professional career, Cakarevic also played for Swisslion Vrsac and Radnicki Kragujevac in Serbia, Pelister Bitola in FYR Macedonia, and also with ASVEL Villeurbanne in France. With ASVEL, Cakarevic made his EuroCup debut back in 2007, and now a decade later returns to the competition with his hometown club.
