The Eurocup's 10 anniversary season began to take shape after a thrilling week 2, featuring 16 fixtures throughout Europe that produced eight 2-0 teams – one in each regular season group. In Group A Gravelines took out Donetsk 78-53 behind Pape Sy's 16 points and 7 rebounds to go 2-0, while Hapoel Jerusalem dumped KK Cibona 89-73 for its first win and a tie at 1-1 with Donetsk. In Group B, BC Khimki overwhelmed VEF Riga 90-70 to storm into first place and PAOK BC triumphed over Cholet Basket 74-62 as J.R. Giddens scored 18 of his 22 points after halftime to lead the winners. CEZ Nymburk hammered Gasterra Flames, 93-60 behind a second-half barrage of three-pointers to lead Group C. A.J. Abrams had 18 points on a perfect 5 of 5 from downtown for the Czech champs. Aris BSA got a big road win against Rudupis 60-71 to enter a 1-1 tie for second in the group. Brandon Heath led the way for Lukoil as it upended Asvel 66-62 to go on top of Group D, and Valencia Basket bested Telenet Oostende 75-62, to join Asvel in second with a 1-1 record. Newcomer Tiago Splitter scored 15 for Valencia in his Eurocup debut. Lokomotiv Kuban beat Banvit 75-67 behind a Jeremiah Massey double-double, leaving Gran Canaria alone on top after it knocked off Fraport 58-71 on the road L. Rytas crushed BC Azovmash 83-55 to become the exclusive leader of Group F and Krka Novo Mesto downed Le Mans 65-84 to land a piece of second place at 1-1. Allan Ray led the winners with 23 points including 6 of 8 threes. In Group G, Spartak topped Benetton 78-87 as Loukas Mavroekefalides netted 21 to take over first place, while Cedevita downed Bayern Munic 70-64 behind reigning Eurocup MVP Dontaye Draper. in Group H, led by DaShaun Wood, Alba Berlin steamrolled KK Buducnost 86-68, while PGE Turow edged Dexia Mons-Hainaut 67-66 in the week’s biggest nail-biter, thanks to Ronald Moore's last-second shot.
