 Gran Canaria adds point guard Radicevic
Herbalife Gran Canaria has reached an agreement with playmaker Nikola Radicevic, who signed a deal for the remainder of the season, the club announced on Monday night. Radicevic (1.94 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, where he averaged 3.8 points and 1.9 assists in nine Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season. He had joined Zvezda from Spanish side Real Betis Energia Plus, where he spent the past five years. Last season, Radicevic averaged 9.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.4 rebounds in Spanish League action. He now returns to play for head coach Luis Casimiro, with whom he worked at Baloncesto Sevilla in the 2014-15 and the 2015-16 seasons. Radicevic played for the Serbian national team at the junior levels and helped it win a bronze medal at the U16 European Championships in 2009, and the 2011 silver and 2012 bronze at the U18 European Championships. He played two EuroCup seasons with Sevilla, averaging 6.6 points and 3.2 assists in 19 games
