Lokomotiv: Broekhoff, six weeks out
Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar suffered a major setback right before the 7DAYS EuroCup Quarterfinals as star forward Ryan Broekhoff is set to be sidelined for six weeks due to a hand injury, the club announced Tuesday. Broekhoff was injured in his team's VTB League game against UNICS Kazan on Sunday. He has an injury in his right thumb and is expected to be out for around a month and a half – that is, the remainder of the EuroCup season. Broekhoff has been his team's top scorer this season, allowing Lokomotiv to remain undefeated until now. Broekhoff has averaged 12.3 points on outstanding shooting percentages (66.7% 2FG, 50.6% 3FG, 88.6 FT) and 5.5 rebounds in 16 games. He averages a team-best 16.2 PIR, which ranks him 15th overall in this EuroCup season.
