Buducnost keeps All-EuroCup guard Ivanovic, Adriatic MVP Gordic

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica reached a new agreement with guards Nikola Ivanovic and Nemanja Gordic to keep working together until the end of the 2019-20 season, the club announced.

Ivanovic (1.90 meters, 24 years old) had a solid 7DAYS EuroCup season, averaging 13.4 points on 88.2% free throws and 3.3 assists in 18 games. He led Buducnost to the EuroCup Quarterfinals, losing against eventual champion Darussafaka Istanbul. Ivanovic was chosen to the All-EuroCup second team. He also led Buducnost to win the Adriatic League title for the first time in club history. Born in Podgorica, Ivanovic started his career in Mornar Basket Bar, played four seasons for Buducnost and returned to the team last year after playing for Mega Leks of Serbia, AEK Athens of Greece and Betaland Capo d'Orlando of Italy. He has helped Buducnost win four consecutive Montenegrin League titles from 2012 to 2015. Ivanovic is also a regular member of the Montenegrin national team, hitting a game-winning midcourt court that lifted his national team past Serbia in Belgrade back in 2012.

Gordic (1.93 meters, 29 years old) had a stellar end of the season in the ABA League, as he was named MVP of the Playoffs won by Buducnost. In the EuroCup, he averaged 11.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 18 appearances. He had his best season in the competition so far. In the Adriatic Playoffs, Gordic averaged 17.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and a PIR of 16.9.
