Morabanc Andorra reached a new agreement with shooting guard David Jelinek to keep working together for three more years until the end of the 2020-21 season, the club announced Wednesday. Jelinek (1.95 meters, 27 years old) averaged 6.2 points and 1.5 assists in 10 7DAYS EuroCup games with Andorra last season, his second with the club. He started his career with BBK Ives Brno of his native Czech Republic, joining Joventut Badalona's junior team in 2007. Jelinek has also played for Prat and Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz of Spain, Olin Edirne and Usak Sportif of Turkey, Krasnie Krylia Samara of Russia, and Anwil Wloclawek of Poland. Jelinek is also a member of the Czech national team. "He is a player who absolutely met the expectations we had when we signed him two years ago," Andorra general manager Francesc Solana said. "We believe he will help us to be competitive and we have confidence in his room for improvement."
