Zenit adds size and power with Reynolds

Zenit St. Petersburg added power and athleticism to the paint with the addition of center Jalen Reynolds, who signed a one-year deal on Wednesday. Reynolds (2.07 meters, 25 years old) has played a majority of last season with Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, helping it reach 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals. He averaged 10.5 points and ranked second in all of the competition with 7.5 rebounds. Reynolds also posted 1.1 steals and 1.1 assists, and in addition to being a regular on weekly highlight reels, he has earned MVP honors in Round 2 of the regular season as well as Game 1 of the quarterfinals. In the Italian League action, big man posted 10.9 points and 6.8 rebounds, before finishing the season with FC Barcelona Lassa, helping it reach the Spanish League playoff semifinals. Reynolds started his pro career two years ago with Recanati in the Italian second division, before joining Reggio Emilia in January of 2017.
