Seven teams still perfect through three games

The regular season of the Eurocup's 10th anniversary year reached its midpoint this week with thrillers all over Europe! More than half the games on Tuesday’s slate went to visiting teams! In the end Week 3 came to an end with seven teams still unbeaten. BCM Gravelines downed Hapoel Jerusalem 75-91 on the road to stay perfect in Group A. Rudy Jomby and Andrew Albicy combined for 37 points for the winners. BC Donetsk routed Cibona 98-81 behind Ramel Curry’s 23 points for second place in that group. Unbeaten BC Khimki topped PAOK 62-71 in Greece thanks to Kresimir Loncar’s 20 points. VEF Riga whipped Cholet Basket 69-53 to grab second place. Courtney Sims paced Riga with 14 points and 9 rebounds. In Group C, CEZ Nymburk defeated BC Rudupis 79-91 on the wings of Petr Benda’s 22 points to improve to 3-0. Aris trumped GasTerra Flames 51-58 behind Sam Muldrow’s massive double-double to take second. Group D features a three-way tie at the top following three games. Asvel Basket beat Telenet Oostende 53-70 on the strength of a balanced team effort, while Nik Caner-Medley erupted for 27 points in 23 minutes as Valencia overcame Lukoil Academic 64-72. The results leave Asvel, Lukoil and Valanecia tied at 2-1. Gran Canaria 2014 crushed Banvit BK 85-61 to remain perfect in Group E, where Lokomotiv-Kuban’s 83-60 smackdown of Fraport Skyliners left the hosts in second place. Ali Traore posted 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Lietuvos Rytas downed Le Mans 62-79 to stay atop Group F at 3-0. Steponas Babrauskas hit 4 threes and scored 15 off the bench for the former champs. Krka Novo Mesto beat Azovmash 66-71 led by Zoran Dragic  to improve to 2-1. Patrick Beverley scored 17 as Spartak St. Petersburg topped FC Bayern Munich 75-62 for its third win in as many Group G games. Benetton Basket edged Cedevita 86-87 in rematch from last season’s third place game. Vlad Moldoveanu enjoyed a breakout game with 19 for the winners. And in Group H, DeShaun Wood scored 12 and dished 9 assists as undefeated Alba Berlin bested PGE Turow 79-68, while Dexia Mons-Hainaut beat Buducnost 66-53 led by Warren Carter’s 15 points.
