Four unbeaten teams among first five into Last 16!

The second leg of the Eurocup Regular Season began 16 Week 4 games that  already produced the first five teams through to the Last 16. Group B's BC Khimki, Group F's Lietuvos Rytas, Group A's BCM Gravelines and Group G's Spartak St. Petersburg all recorded convincing wins to remain undefeated and march into the next stage. And KRKA Novo Mesto won its third straight in Group F to also clinch a Last 16 berth. Gravelined trounced Hapoel Jerusalem 97-74 in Group A as Rudy Jomby netted 23 and Andrew Albicy posted a double-double.  BC Donetsk edged KK Cibona 76-78 on Vule Avdalovic free throws to strengthen its grip on second place. Ramel Curry led the winners with 16 points. BC Khimki routed PAOK 89-65 in Group B as Thomas Kelati drilled 5 triples and 16 points off the bench. Cholet Basket topped VEF Riga 72-68 for its first Group B win. Fabien Causer led Cholet with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Rudupis upset CEZ Nymburk 80-83 on the road in Group C and denied the Czech champs in their first chance to advance to the Last 16. Paulius Ivanauskas posted 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Aris crushed GasTerra Flames 79-58 led by Christos Tapoutos’s 14 points to tie Nymburk atop Group C at 3-1. First place in Group D is shared by Valencia Basket and Asvel Basket after both won. Valencia bested Lukoil Academic 83-59 behind 18 points and 8 rebounds from Tiago Splitter. Asvel defeated Telenet Oostende 83-65 led by Edwin Jackson with 18 points. Lokomotiv-Kuban beat  Fraport Skyliners  58-69 on the road to move into a tie with Gran Canaria 2014 in Group E. Ali Traore paced Loko with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Banvit dominated Granca 79-54 as Kenan Bajramovic posted a double-double. The loss stopped previously unbeaten Granca from reaching the Last 16 this week. Both Lietuvos Rytas and Krka Novo Mesto advanced to the Last 16 with win in Group F. Undefeated Rytas destroyed Le Mans 87-49 as Jonas Valanciunas led a balanced effort with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Krka bested Azovmash 74-70 thanks to 24 points from Jure Balazic. Spartak topped Bayern Munich 60-72 to improve to 4-0 in Group G, where Benetton beat Cedevita 82-68 to grab sole possession of second place. Alessandro Gentile led the Benetton with 18 points. Group H featured two Week 4 thrillers with both games going to overtime. PGE Turow stopped Alba Berlin 91-87 after two extra sessions. David Jackson led the charge with 23 points and 8 rebounds. And Buducnost Voli downed Dexia Mons-Hainaut 85-78 on the strength of 22 points and 10 boards from Nikola Vucevic.
