Bojan Krstovic reaches 100th Eurocup game!
Eurocup veteran Bojan Krstovic reached a new milestone Tuesday when he became the first player to reach 100 Eurocup games. In his 100th Eurocup game, Krstovic scoring 6 points in 22 minutes for Buducnost Voli against Banvit BK. This is Krstovic’s ninth consecutive Eurocup season. He has played those 100 Eurocup games with three clubs: FMP, Hemofarm Stada and now Buducnost. He helped FMP to reach the then-called ULEB Cup semifinals in 2004 and 2007, when it lost against Hapoel Jerusalem and Lietuvos Rytas, respectively. Krstovic returned to the Eurocup semifinals in 2009, his first season with Hemofarm, but once again L. Rytas stood on its way to the title game. Krstovic also ranks second in minutes played (1,993), 20th in scoring (639) and 14th in steals (84) in competition history. He is far ahead everyone else in terms of Eurocup games played and at age 31, Krstovic has a good chance to improve his outstanding figures. Jim Moran is second with 78 Eurocup games, Andre Riddick - the all-time Eurocup leader in rebounds, blocks and steals - and Petr Samoylenko each played 77 while Todor Stoykov, the Eurocup's all-time leading scorer, took part in 72 Eurocup fixtures.
