Nik Caner-Medley - Valencia Basket - Finals Khimki 2012A number of Eurocup title game records were tied or felled in Sunday 2012 Eurocup Final in Khimki, Russia. Despite losing the game, Valencia Basket was on the better side of the record-setting, even though not all the records were positive ones. All-Eurocup power forward Nik Caner-Medley tied a Eurocup title game record with a performance index rating of 38 index. Dejan Tomasevic, also of Valencia, had a 38 index in Game 2 of the 2003 Finals against Krka Novo Mesto. Caner Medley also came within a free throw of the best title game performance in that category. Caner-Medley went 11 for 11 from the line. Bojan Popovic of Dynamo Moscow hit 12 of 12 in the 2006 title game against Aris BSA.

On the other end of the spectrum, Valencia also set records for turnovers. Rafa Martinez’s 6 turnovers were the most by a player in a Eurocup title game. And Valencia’s 22 turnovers were the most by a team. That record had previously belonged to Dynamo Moscow from the 2006 ULEB Cup final and Akasvayu Girona from the 2008 ULEB Cup final.

Khimki tied a record for the fewest three-pointers made in Eurocup title game history with 4. Alba Berlin also made just 4 threes in the 2010 Eurocup final against Valencia 67.
