ALBA's Siva out weeks with new injury

As in the regular season, ALBA Berlin will have to confront the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 without team leader Peyton Siva, who will miss several weeks with a knee injury, the club announced. Siva, a point guard, hurt his right knee in practice on Wednesday, less than a month after he returned from missing four games with a rib injury. Siva nonetheless was among the EuroCup's top performers in the regular season, after which he ranked first in assists (9.7 per game), eighth in PIR (17.8) and 12th in points (14.8). ALBA was able to go 3-1 without Siva to finish regular season Group B with a 7-3 record for second place. It will now welcome AS Monaco to Berlin to start Top 16 Group E on Thursday, January 3.
