MONTEPASCHI brings aboard Zisis
Former Euroleague champion Nikos Zisis is taking his game back to Italy after signing with Italian champion Montepaschi Siena. Zisis (195, 25) arrives from CSKA Moscow, where he spent the past two seasons. He helped CSKA win the 2008 Euroleague title and reach the title game last season. He also lifted a pair of Russian League trophies in his time in Moscow. Before that Zisis spent two seasons in Italy with Benetton Basket Treviso, winning the Italian League championship and one Italian SuperCup in 2006 and the Italian Cup in 2007. Zisis grew up at AEK Athens in his native Greece. He helped AEK win a Greek Cup title in 2001 and the Greek League trophy in 2002. He is a regular member of the Greek national team and helped Greece win the gold medal at EuroBasket 2005 and take a silver medal at the 2006 World Championships.
