CAJA LABORAL lands playmaker Logan
-->
Spanish League champion Caja Laboral made its first major move for next season by announcing Friday the addition of multi-talented point guard David Logan, the Euroleague's fourth-best scorer last season, on a three-year contract. Logan (184, 27) arrives from Asseco Prokom, a club he helped lift to the Euroleague quarterfinals for the first time in its history. Logan ranked fourth in the Euroleague with 15.3 points per game, was seventh with 41 three-pointers made and 12th with 3.4 assists per game. His second season with Prokom was just as impressive as his Euroleague debut in 2008-09, when he averaged 16.9 points per game and led the league with 2.7 steals per game. Logan has taken a slow and steady path to Euroleague stardom. He played college basketball at the relatively small University of Indianapolis, but emerged as the NCAA Division II Player of the Year. Logan began his professional career in 2005 in the Italian second division with Edimes Pavia, but after a short stay moved on to Ramat Hasharon in Israel. He split the 2006-07 season between Fort Worth in the NBDL and Polphamra-Pakmet Starogard in Poland. Logan then stepped up to Turow Zgorzelec, which he led to the 2008 ULEB Cup Final Eight and the Polish League finals. That summer Logan joined Prokom, which he guided to back-to-back Polish League titles. He was named 2010 Polish finals MVP. Logan also represented Poland at EuroBasket 2009.
