CHOLET inks center Duport for three years
Romain Duport (Photo cholet-basket.com)Days after extending the contract of head coach Erman Kunter, Cholet Basket made center Romain Duport its first signing ahead of the new season. Duport (217, 23) signed a three-year contract with Cholet. He arrives from fellow French club STB Le Havre, where he has played since transferring there as a junior player in 2004. He averaged exactly 8 points, 6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks over 17 minutes per game last season in the French League, but was limited to just nine games due to a knee injury. At Cholet he will be reunited with former Le Havre teammate Fabien Causeur.
