CHOLET BASKET lands Luc-Arthur Vebobe
Luc-Arthur Vebobe (Photo: Antibes Basket)Cholet Basket announced on Thursday the addition of forward Luc-Arthur Vebobe (203, 30) for the coming campaign. Vebobe arrives from Antibes of the French second division, where last season he averaged a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in over 33 minutes per game, which also made him the leading rebounder of the competition. vebobe made his debut with Antibes in 1998, when the team was in the French first division. After that, he travelled to the United States to play college ball during three years in as many universities and was back to Antibes for the 2001-02 season. He then spent one year in Chalon and then two in Paris Basket Racing before moving on to Spain to join CAI Zaragoza of the Spanish second division, but that year he suffered a serious injury that kept him away from the courts for more than two years. After recovering, he attempted to come back to the French first division unsuccessfully, and it wasn't until January of 2009 that he managed to return with ALM Evreux of the second division in France as he exploded for 12.4 points and 8.14 rebounds becoming one of the best players of the competition. After being back to his native club in the followingyear to dominated the French second division, he is ready for more elite basketball starting the 2010-11 season.
