ASSECO PROKOM rounds out roster
Robert Witka - PGE TurowAsseco Prokom Gdynia rounded out its roster for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague season with the additions of five new players: Robert Witka, Iwo Kitzinger, Dawid Przybyszewski, Pawel Kowalczuk and Sebastian Balcerzak. The quintet gives head coach Tomas Pacesas an extra reserve at each position: Przybyszewski plays center, Kowalczuk and Witka are both forwards, Balcerzak a swingman and Kitzinger a point guard. Kowalczuk and Kitzinger were also teammates last season at Trefl Sopot.

Witka (206, 29) arrives from PGE Turow, with whom he spent the past four seasons. Last year he averaged 8 points and 4.5 rebounds in the Eurocup and 8 points and 3.5 boards in the Polish League. Witka began his career at Anwil Wloclawek and has represented the Polish national team.

Kitzinger (188, 25) played two seasons in the Eurocup with PGE Turow. Last season he averaged 11.4 point and 2.4 assists per game in the Polish League with Sopot. Kitzinger played for the Polish national team at EuroBasket 2007. He has also played for Znicz Pruszkow, Unia Tarnow, SKS Starogard and PBG Poznan in Poland and for Roseto in Italy. He was the Polish League three-point contest winner in 2007.

Przybyszewski (215, 29) posted 3.9 points and 2.8 boards last season for Energa Czarni Slupsk. He played college basketball at Vanderbilt University in the United States between 2001 and 2005 and has since suited up for Polpak Swiecie, Stal Ostrow, Kotwica Kolobrzeg and Czarni Slupsk in the Polish League, for Lami-Ved Kormend in Hungary and for BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld in Austria.

Kowalczuk (207, 30) returns to the club after playing there briefly early in his career. Last season with Trefl Sopot he averaged 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in the Polish League. He has also played college basketball at St. Francis College and professionally in the Polish League for AZS Koszalin, Polpak Swiecie, Zastal Zielona Gora and Polpharma Starogard.

Balcerzak (194, 30) averaged 4.7 points and 1.8 rebounds last season for AZS Koszalin, the club with whom he has spent most of his career and was the captain for two seasons. Balcerzak suffered career-threatening injuries in an automobile accident in January 2007, but returned to the court two seasons later with Resovia Rzeszow. Last season he returned to Koszalin and helped the club win the Polish Cup.
