VIRTUS ROMA secures forward Dasic

Virtus Roma announced on Friday the addition of forward Vladimir Dasic (208, 22) to a four-month contract with the option to extend it until the end of the 2012-13 season. Dasic arrived in Rome in late September to practice with the team, but last weekend he took part in the Sassari Tourney and averaged 10 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games, convincing head coach Matteo Boniciolli to sign him to a longer agreement. He arrives from Gran Canaria 2014 of Spain, where he finished last season averaging 1.5 points and 2.8 boards in over 11 minutes per game. He started the campaign with Real Madrid, where he arrived in 2009 and took part in four Euroleague games last season averaging 3.5 points and 2.3 rebounds. Dasic started his pro career at age 16 with Buducnost of Montenegro in 2004.
