REGAL FCB lands Ingles at forward
Joe Ingles - AustraliaRegal FC Barcelona has reached an agreement in principle with versatile forward Joe Ingles on a three-year contract, the club announced Monday. Ingles (203, 23) arrives from CB Granada, where he averaged 13.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists in seven Spanish League games this season. The deal depends on Ingles successfully completing medical tests on Monday afternoon. If everything goes well, Ingles will be introduced as a new Barcelona player at 17:30 CET, becoming the fifth Australian player in the Euroleague this season - and the second to play for Barcelona after David Andersen. Ingles has also played for the Noarlunga City Tigers, the Melbourne South Dragons, the Bulleen Boomers and the Australian Institute of Sport. He helped Melbourne to win the Australian League title in 2009 and is a regular member of the Australian national team, playing the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2010 FIBA World Championships with the Boomers.
