Swiss League finals, Game 4: May 30, 2007
Olympic Fribourg is the first team ever in Switzerland to lift three trophies in the same season after it won Game 4 of the Swiss League finals 69-79 over Lugano on Wednesday. Fribourg won the series 3-1 for its second consecutive title, sixth in the last 11 seasons and 14th overall Swiss League title. Lugano has won three others in the last decade. David Esterkamp was the main contributor for the winners with 18 points. Tresore Quidome and Lorenzo Orr added 16 each while Harold Mrazek bagged 12. Edwin Draughan led Lugano with 20 points and Andrija Crnogorac had 17. The guests from Fribourg took a slim 17-19 margin at the end of the first quarter, but the Tigers followed Draughan's scoring to a 37-33 halftime advantage. Early in the last quarter, Olympic went ahead 52-54 and never looked back thanks to a timely performance by Pascal Perrier-David. As such, Fribourg became the first team to win the Swiss Cup, the League Cup and the league title in the same season.
