Adriatic League finals, Game 2: April 18, 2007
Partizan Belgrade is the Adriatic League champion! Partizan swept domestic rival FMP 2-0 in the best-of-three finals series on Wednesday night with a 94-82 home win. Uros Tripkovic led six Partizan scorers in double figures with 19 points as his club finally took the title after reaching the final in each of the past two seasons. Partizan won Game 1 earlier in the week 82-84. Tripkovic heated up early as Partizan took a 27-17 advantage after 10 minutes. The youngsters from FMP never gave in and cut the gap to 43-39 at halftime. FMP went ahead briefly, 55-56, on a Dragan Labovic basket late in the third quarter, but Milenko Tepic struck back quickly with a triples and a jumper and Partizan coasted through the fourth quarter for a big win. Nikola Pekovic finished with 13 for Partizan, Dusan Kecman added 12, Vonteego Cummings had 11 points and 4 assists and Luka Bogdanovic and Predrag Drobnjak 10 each. Zoran Erceg led FMP with 19 points and 7 rebounds, Milos Teodosic had 13, Branko Cvetkovic 11 points and 5 steals and Labovic finished with 10 points in defeat. The two Serbian powers will still face off at least two more times this season in their domestic league.

All-Star Game
2006-07 ADRIATIC LEAGUE PREVIEW
The Adriatic League returns with a new sponsor, NLB, and a new name, NLB Liga ABA. It will feature 14 teams this season - 4 from Serbia, 4 from Croatia, 3 from Slovenia, 2 from Bosnia and Herzegovina and one from Montenegro. The three best teams without an Euroleague berth will make it to the ULEB Cup. All teams will play in a 26-game round robin regular season, which will be followed by three-game semifinals and sinals which will determine the winner. Defending champs FMP are back with a young, talented team featuring Branko Cvetkovic, Predrag Samardziski or Zoran Erceg. Perennial Serbian League champion Partizan kept most of its main players, too, such as Uros Tripkovic, Kosta Perovic, Nikola Pekovic or Vonteego Cummings, as well as adding Predrag Drobnjak, Milenko Tepic or Dusan Kecman. Another top candidate is Cibona, with managed to land free agents like Brent Wright, Chris Warren, Marton Bader or Marijan Mance while keeping Chris Warren, Davor Kus or Luksa Andric. Crvena Zvezda moved well in the off-season market, too, putting together what arguably is its best roster in many years. Nemanja Aleksandrov, Mirko Kovac or Petar Popovic join Milan Gurovic, Pero Antic or Nenad Misanovic to fight for every title available. Union Olimpija missed the Final Eight last season, but with Erden Arslan, Christian Maraker, Miha Zupan or Marko Milic joining Teemu Rannikko, Ivica Jurkovic or Saso Ozbolt, the perennial Slovenian Legaue champion is expectec to reach high, too. Hemofarm kept Milenko Topic, Vladan Vukosavljevic or Nebojsa Joksimovic while adding Predrag Suput, so it will be able to beat anyone, anywhere. Bosna Asa BHT, with Sasa Vasiljevic and Clarence Gilbert, Zadar, featuring Juby Johnson and Todor Gecevski, or Buducnost, with Marko Rakocevic and Slavko Vranes, will also fight for a Final Eight berth.
