Czech League playoffs, Semifinals, Game 3: May 22-23, 2007
Radoslav Rancik - CEZ Basketball Nymburk Defending Czech League champion CEZ Basketball Nymburk returned to the finals on Wednesday night after thrashing A Plus ZS Brno 90-61 in Game 3 of the best-of-five semifinals series. Meanwhile, BK Decin stopped BK Prostejov 100-65 after losing the first two games to breathe life into that series. Nymburk took control of the game early, building a 29-16 lead after 10 minutes, growing it to 50-30 at halftime and then coasting the rest of the way to sweep the series. Radoslav Rancik led the way with 18 points and 6 assists, Antti Nikkila added 16 points and 10 rebounds, Monty Mack scored 13 and Darius Washington 11. Ales Chan led Brno with 14. On Tuesday, Decin got 21 points from Levell Sanders and Peter Mulligan posted 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in a big win. The game was close early – 20-19 at the end of the first period – but the hosts slowly and steadily pulled away to force a Game 4, which will be on Friday in Prostejov. Radek Necas finished with 17 points in defeat.
