Nothing is over!
Stratos Perperoglou - PanathinaikosHello! We meet again!

This is the third edition of my blog with Euroleague.net and I hope that the third is a charm, too, since on both previous occasions we went all the way…

I must say that I am really very happy that finally I have been granted the permission to compete again! The beginning of this season was a tough period for me, since I was sidelined for quite some time. It was not easy, but all this belongs to the past. Now, its not easy to adapt and to be able to play at the same pace all the time. Its tough to find your rhythm. But rest assured that I am trying to make my personal comeback through practices and game time in order to be able to help my team reach its goals.

We know that every year is different. Last season many doubted our team. They kept saying that we are not as strong as we used to be, but they were proven wrong as we ended up snatching the trophy. This season is different, too. We dont know yet how it will turn out. I believe that we have the potential for a good run, but we know that there are a lot of things that can be crucial, like being on our best possible form at the right time.

We have already one negative result in the Top 16, a defeat that we didnt want or need at our home court. It has put us in a difficult position and now we know that we have to mend the damage. Its not the first time we find ourselves with our backs against the wall. Weve been there before, but in the end we made it through. We just have to give our best in the upcoming games.

Our head coach, Zeljko Obradovic, said after our win in Milano against Emporio Armani that "nothing is over". We can say the same after our loss in OAKA against Unics Kazan: Nothing is over. There are four more games and I believe its up to us. We can achieve our goal. We can make it right.

We know for a fact that there are no easy games, no easy groups in the Top 16. Two years ago we were eliminated despite being in a group that was supposed to be easy. When you reach the Top 16, you must keep in mind that all teams want to go the extra mile. All teams have quality and they aim to seize a leading role. There are no easy games!

There are a lot of good teams performing at a high level now, teams such as CSKA, Barcelona, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Montepaschi Siena and many more… Euroleague is a very tough competition. Our wish is to make it one more time to the Final Four…

Thats it from me for the moment. Well speak again soon. Take care of yourselves and the people you love,
