EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL FINAL FOUR OFFICIAL PARTNERS
Euroleague Basketball announces a total of 11 official sponsors and partners for Final Four in Athens, Greece this coming year. Euroleague Basketball's portfolio of sponsors include Sportingbet, ISF, GNTO, Molten, Express Holidays and Nike, and its official partners include Alpha Bank, Cosmote, Nokia, Gatorade and Metro (who hold rights only in Greece).
"Euroleague Basketball develops strategic partnerships with leading entities in local markets, entities such as Alpha Bank and Cosmote, two leading brands in Greece," said Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague Basketball CEO. "Our partnership with Alpha Bank, for example, has been very beneficial for both parties. We have allowed Alpha Bank to be the only banking entity in Greece to be able to directly associate itself with Euroleague Basketball's Final Four this year through advertising activities and promotional activities with tickets and merchandising. The deal includes allowing Alpha Bank to have a pan European communicational platform through Euroleague Basketball games as well as offering an exclusive commercial platform where they are the only bank in Greece to be able to launch promotional campaigns with Final Four tickets and Euroleague Basketball official logos. Likewise our partnership with Cosmote, leading mobile operator in Greece, has been equally productive. Cosmote has been a great partner and have shown that they are truly leaders in the mobile operator sector, have been able to benefit from the same platform that we offer as well as the commercial exclusivity in our Final Four packages."
These strategic partnerships seek to allow leading brands in local markets to use Euroleague Basketball as a commercial and communicational platform to develop their brands across Europe. These brands are given exclusive rights to claim any direct association with Euroleague Basketball Final Four 2007, or to use tickets and registered Euroleague Basketball trademarks for promotions, advertising and other marketing activities.
Euroleague Basketball relies on partnerships with commercial affiliates I order to be able to stage the privately funded Euroleague Basketball's Final Four in today's dimensions and meet the expected operational costs estimated in millions of Euros.
