Strasbourg signs center Aaron Pettway
SIG Strasbourg announced on Tuesday the signing of center Aaron Pettway for the rest of the season. The deal leaves the club an opt-out clause after three weeks. Pettway (211, 27) replaces big man Jai Lewis, who was released earlier in the week. Strasbourg marks Pettway's third club in Europe after playing college basketball at Oklahoma State University. Last season he played in Poland for Kager Gdynia, where he posted averages of 9.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots in 35 games. Pettway was also named to the Polish League All-Star team. Over the summer he signed with Antalya Buyuksehir Belediyespor in Turkey, but the sides decided to part ways before the season started. Pettway joins Bernard King as the second player to sign with Strasbourg this week.
