Triumph tabs playmaker Kerem Tunceri

Triumph Lyubertsy has signed playmaker Kerem Tunceri for the upcoming season. Tunceri (190, 29) arrives from Real Madrid, with whom he won the ULEB Cup in 2007. The playmaker averaged 7.6 points and 2.6 assists in 19 Euroleague games for Madrid last season as a part-time starter. Tunceri spent the early part of his career in his native Turkey before making the switch to Madrid in 2006. He debuted for Galatasaray as a teenager in 1996 and moved to Efes Pilsen in 2000, where he proceeded to win three Turkish League championships and two Turkish Cups in four seasons. After a season each with Ulker and Besiktas, he joined Madrid for two years, winning the Spanish League in 2007 as well. Tunceri has also been a valued member of the Turkish national team, with whom he won a silver medal at EuroBasket 2001 and played at the 2002 World championships.
