Azovmash Mariupol adds size with Uche Nsonwu

Ukrainian League champion Azovmash Mariupol keeps getting ready for the 2008-09 ULEB Cup season by inking center Uche Nsonwu to a one-year deal. Nsonwu (208, 30) arrives from Asvel Basket, where he averaged 13.5 points on 59.6% two-pointers and 7.3 rebounds in 12 ULEB Cup games last season, helping his team to reach the elimination rounds. Nsonwu has also played for Gravelines and Olympique Antibes in France, Hapoel Galil Elyon in Israel, Telindus Oostende in Belgium and Galatasaray Istanbul in Turkey. Azovmash had already signed two other newcomers, center Hasan Rizvic and playmaker Khalid El-Amin who returned to the team after a season playing for Turk Telekom.
