Aris TT Bank extends Savvas Iliadis

Aris TT Bank has announced that shooting guard Savvas Iliadis extended his contract until the end of the upcoming 2008-09 season. As such, Iliadis (192, 28) is set to start his third year with the team. He averaged 2.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 14 Euroleague games last season. He boosted his numbers up to 10.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in the Greek League playoffs. Iliadis, who earned Euroleague weekly MVP honors once in the 2006-07 season, has also played for Panionios, Iraklis and Aias Evosmou in his native Greece. He has also been a member of the Greek national team. "There is nothing much to say about Aris and its fans, everyone knows how I feel about them. What I can say that I promise them to give 100% every time I step on court and try to win as many games as possible," Iliadis said. "Like our fans, we want the team to succeed."
