Marcus Goree joins Triumph Lyubertsy

Triumph Lyubertsy keeps getting ready for the 2008-09 Eurocup Qualifying Rounds by getting experienced powe forward Marcus Goree on loan from CSKA Moscow. Goree (201, 31) helped CSKA to win the Euroleague and the Russian League titles last season. He averaged 7.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and one block in 25 Euroleague games last season. Goree has also played for Benetton Treviso in Italy, Gran Canaria in Spain, Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel, the Skyliners in Germany and Le Havre in France. In his three seasons with Benetton, Goree helped the team to lift the 2006 Italian League trophy, as well as winning two Italian Cup titles in 2005 and 2007 and two Italian Supercups in 2004 and 2006. He also helpd Maccabi to win the Israeli League and the Israeli Cup, as well as reaching the Adriatic League final in the 2002-03 season. Goree is now set to provide instant leadership and experience to Triumph.
