Rashid Atkins completes Base Oostende roster

BASE Oostende has completed its roster for the upcoming campaign by adding point guard Rashid Atkins for one season. Atkins (182, 33) arrives from Polish club Asco Slask Wroclaw, where he averaged 12.8 points and was among the competition's top 10 with 4.2 assists in 12 ULEB Cup games last season. He further contributed 11.1 points and 4.2 assists per game in the Polish League. Atkins has previously played for Dijon in France, Tekelspor Istanbul and Banvitspor in Turkey, BC Haïfa in Israel and with Prokom Trefl Sopot in Poland, with whom he played in the Euroleague. The signing leaves only one open spot on the Oostende roster, which is designated for a young Belgian talent.
