Fantasy Challenge, Top 16 Week 6 injury update
Fantasy ChallengeThe 2009-10 Sportingbet Euroleague Fantasy Challenge reaches a dramatic conclusion this week with several managers heading into the last week of the Top 16 still holding good chances to win a grand prize that is better than ever this season! The winner and a friend will be the Euroleague's special VIP guests at the 2010 Final Four in Paris: four hotel nights, two VIP tickets and the unique, one-of-a-kind chance to be allowed on-court to celebrate with the new champions. And now, for the first time this year, the winner will also get Sportingbet Free Bets worth €500! The top candidate to win the overall standings is Aivaras Rastauskas of Lithuania, whose team "Devil666" has come on strong in the Top 16 to soar into the lead with 2,528 points, almost 18 points better than second place. Aivaras climbed to first place just last week, but several teams are waiting to challenge him one last time. Vaggos Fetsis of Greece, who led the contest's overall standings just two weeks ago, is second with 2,510.8 points. Regular season champion and 2007 Fantasy Challenge winner Jorge Martinez of Spain is third at 2,506.7, while two other teams are within 50 points of first place. In other words, anything can happen in this final week! The Top 16 winner will also be revealed this week and receive another great prize - a signed jersey of his or her choice of Euroleague player plus Sportingbet Free Bets worth €100. Matija Roic of Croatia leads the standings with 901.5 points. It will not be easy, however, as five other teams are within 30 points of first place. Xabier Aramendi of Spain is second with 897 points and Top 16 Week 3 weekly winner Arale Weisberg of Israel third at 883.8 points. The last deadline of the 2009-10 Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge season will be 17:15 on Wednesday, March 10, one hour before that week's first game, CSKA vs. Zalgiris in Group G. Follow Sportingbet Fantasy Challenge to its exciting finish in Last 16 Week 6!
